Sugar Cookies Made Fast

Anyone who knows me, knows that I am no Betty Crocker. I am always in a rush, running around crazy and the last thing I have time for is fluffing flour to make cookies. The other thing about me is that I want to tell people things are homemade and taking Pillsbury dough out the fridge is not homemade to me.

So I have been on a mission to make Sugar Cookies really fast. I have tried combinations for the past week and I found the perfect mix made with the Ninja mixer. Yes you read it right, the Ninja mixer you use for juice.

Ingredients

3/4 cup Butter

1 Large Egg

1 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract

2.25 cups Flour

1/2 Teaspoon Baking Powder

1/4 Teaspoon salt (optional if you use salted butter)

3/4 Cup Sugar

Powdered Sugar for rolling out the dough

Step One

Take the butter and egg and mix in Ninja until smooth

Add vanilla, flour, baking powder, salt, sugar to butter/egg mix and mix until dough is smooth.

Step Two

Divide dough into 2 Balls

Take powdered sugar and sprinkle on aluminum or parchment

Roll out dough into 2 1/4 inch thick sheets

Step Three

Cool for one hour (this step is must). Do something fun while waiting. For me this is the hardest part

Step Four

Preheat Oven at 350 degrees, cut out shapes and decorate or not

Bake 9-10 minutes until light brown for soft center.

Crunchier cookies take 11-12 minutes.

Before Baking

Step Six

Ready to Eat

Eat them and share them
