Healthy Yogurt

Yogurt Parfait Your Way

So you are thinking about what to eat when you get to work and ready to run out the door to get a bagel, well don't do it. Consider this healthy alternative Yogurt Parfait. Get a glass dish with a secure top. I like to use glass for two reasons easy to clean and it looks nice when put together.

Start by layering healthy ingredients and before you know it you have a parfait. You can also use low fat cottage cheese.

- Greek Yogurt (Vanilla/Plain as it has protein to keep you full longer).
-Granola
-Consider: Strawberries-Rasberries-Blueberries- Bannana-Kiwi
-Flax Seeds/Chia Seeds
-Top with Almonds-Walnuts-Cranberries-Raisins

Yellow Rice AKA Arroz con Gondules

Looking for an authentic Spanish Rice recipe? This is it.

Ingredients
- Small White Onion
- 4 garlic cloves crushed
- 2 Packets Sazon con Achote
- Adobo
- Small can tomato sauce
- Oil
- White Rice
- Canned Gondules
- Fresh Cilantro

Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time until soft

1. Start by cutting the onion in half and chopping 1/2 up into small pieces.
2. Chop 2-3 pieces of cilantro
3. Put oil into pan (enough to saute)
Saute the following:
Garlic, Cilantro, Onion

Then add:
Sazon
Adobo to taste
Salt/Pepper
1/2 can tomato sauce
1/2 can gondules
3 cups water
2 cups rice

Boil until 90% absorbed on low and then cover. Cook on low flame, occasionally mixing until rice is soft.
