Do what your heart tells you. God is telling you something.

So about 3 weeks ago, I was on the drive thru line at Dunkin' and felt compelled to buy the person behind me a coffee. But... when I looked at my DD card balance I realized that I wouldn't have enough left to get coffee the following day. All day I felt terrible and shared how I felt with my co-worker. She said she felt the same thing when she did not do something she felt God was telling her to do. She recommended doing it the next time I felt that way.

So a few weeks later...

I felt the same thing and once again I did not do it as was short on cash because of the holidays. I felt bad again, and promised I would do it the next time.

So yesterday...

when I was getting ready in the morning it came over me again. This time I looked up and made a promise to God I would do it. I loaded $10 on my card and went to DD. I got on the drive thru line and realized that no one was behind me. I waited a second and someone came, I felt relieved. I opened my app and saw that I had a free cup.

Wow I thought mine for free and I just pay for the person behind me.

I pulled up to the window and the girl says "The woman before you paid for yours." I was shocked someone woke up feeling the same way I did. So with a smile I told the girl at the window I was paying for the person behind me and I did just that.

I drove away feeling so good. A second later I realized that my coffee was tipped over spilling out. I quickly grabbed a napkin to soak it up. It was almost empty, but was grateful it was free and I remembered I had loaded my card with $10. I was sitting at the red light and refreshed my app curious to see what the girl had behind me bought only to see I had $1.89 left. For a second I was mad mad, but then I started to laugh, and looked up at God and said out loud "You really do have a sense of humor!"

Then I thought about the $1.89 left on my card and I was happy that I could buy a small cup tomorrow. God always provides even if it is small (in my case a small coffee)

Lesson learned, do what your heart says the first time.
